Description Research in food sciences includes analysis and food chemistry, flavours, edible biopolymers, phytochemicals and other food additives, food ingredient, food acceptance, food soup, quality and food safety, food microbiology and fermentation, community nutrition.

Entry Requirements a) Master of Science degree from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia or any other university recognised by the Senate; or
b) Other qualifications equivalent to a Master of Science degree and have other qualifications or experience recognised by the Senate; or
c) Attend a Master of Science program at Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia and be approved by the Faculty of Graduate Studies Committee to change status to the Doctorate Program with the approval of the Senate; or
d) Bachelor of Science degree or other equivalents to a Bachelor of Science degree with a Cumulative Grade Average (CGPA) of at least 3.67 from the National University of Malaysia or any other university recognised by the Senate.
English Requirement International student candidates who meet the academic qualifications but lack English Language qualifications may attend an intensive English Language course for one year (maximum period). Candidates who fail to achieve the minimum requirements as set by the study program will be given a fail and discontinue status.
