Description | In line with the saying “Religion is advice giving”, the counselling program was introduced with the aim to help society in combating mental health issues in accordance to Islamic principles and teachings. Specifically, it refers to the collaborative effort between a counsellor and client in seeking cognitive and behavioral change. This program began its first enrolment in the year 2001/2005. The purpose of this program is to produce competent counsellors who have the proper counselling knowledge, skills, techniques and training in accordance to the Board of Counsellors Malaysia (Act 580). |

English Requirement | Applicants shall show evidence of proficiency in ENGLISH LANGUAGE* based on the following criteria: minimum score in Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) 437 (PBT) / equivalent; or Band 4 in International English Language Testing System (IELTS); or Band 3 in Malaysian University English Test (MUET); or Common European Framework of Reference (CEFR) equivalence; or successfully completed full time secondary or tertiary studies or equivalent qualification where the language of instruction and assessment was in English; or native speakers of English. *Higher score is required in certain programme.
