Description The undergraduate programmes of the Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences commenced in 2004 and with the increase in the number of academic staff in specific niche areas, the Kulliyyah has able to offer postgraduate degree programmes starting 2007. At present, there are lecturers with PhD or professional postgraduate qualifications on board and each has the experience and capability of supervising postgraduate students. Supervision could also be shared with other appropriate supervisors from other Kulliyyahs at the IIUM Kuantan Campus through the appointment of co-supervisors. Being one of the youngest faculties of the University, the Kulliyyah is located in the new Kulliyyah of Allied Health Sciences building at the Bandar Indera Mahkota of Kuantan, Pahang. Adequate research facilities, teaching classes and laboratories are available for general and specific use including up-to-date equipments to accommodate postgraduate learning needs. Other than strengthening Kulliyyah research efforts, this will also cater for the students who have great passion and determination to do research work and participate in intellectual activities. Kulliyyah targets would be personnel who are engaged in research and development in industries and research institutes as well as bachelor degree holders with good academic background. The focus of study leading towards a Masters of Health Sciences and Doctor of Philosophy field will be research based with some input of courses such as Research Methodology and Islamic Values as indicated in the tables below.

Entry Requirements A relevant Bachelor’s Degree (honours) with good grades from the IIUM or any other accredited Institution of higher learning;

Note: Preference will be given to applicants having a Bachelor’s Degree with a minimum CGPA 2.75 or its equivalent.
Or
Any other certificate that is recognized as equivalent to a Bachelor’s Degree (honours) or other relevant professional qualifications and experience that are recognized by the Senate of the University.
And
A suitable research proposal is required for Master applicants.
English Requirement For all Arts-based programs with English as the medium of instruction, the minimum required scores are: 550 for Paper-based TOEFL, 213 for Computer-based TOEFL, 79 for Internet-based TOEFL (iBT), 6.0 for IELTS (Academic), 6.0 for EPT, and either 4.0 (Old) or 4.5 (New) for MUET.

All Science and Technology Based programs with English as the medium of instruction require a minimum of 500 for Paper-based TOEFL, 173 for Computer-based TOEFL, 60 for Internet-based TOEFL (iBT), 5.0 for IELTS (Academic), 5.0 for EPT, and either 3.0 (Old) or 3.5 (New) for MUET.

For all programs with Arabic as the medium of instruction, the minimum scores are: 425 for Paper-based TOEFL, 113 for Computer-based TOEFL, 30 for Internet-based TOEFL (iBT), 3.0 for IELTS (Academic), 3.0 for EPT, and either 2.0 (Old) or 2.5 (New) for MUET.

Notably, all programs with English as the medium of instruction but with the thesis/dissertation written in Arabic Language have the same minimum English proficiency requirements as programs with Arabic as the medium of instruction: 425 (Paper-based TOEFL), 113 (Computer-based TOEFL), 30 (Internet-based TOEFL iBT), 3.0 (IELTS Academic), 3.0 (EPT), and 2.0 (Old) or 2.5 (New) for MUET.
