Description | The Bachelor of Chemical Engineering Technology (Food Technology) with Honours is a program that is specifically designed to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for employment and growth in the chemical engineering field with a specialization in food technology. This program emphasizes the application of the chemical engineering discipline in food technology, specifically for large-or industrial-scale processing. Therefore, chemical engineering principles are widely applied with the incorporation of specialized food technology courses which covers food biochemistry, food processing, food analysis, quality, safety, and waste management of food and up to the development and commercialization stages of food products. The curriculum of this program is aimed at providing students with skills in the areas of chemical engineering and food technology, intensively through theoretical and practical approaches. Students are expected to apply knowledge in real situations with analysis, synthesis, simulation, and practice skills using technology in the latest field of chemistry and food technology. |
