| Description | The Department of Counselor Education and Counseling Psychology (JPKPK) is one of the six departments in the Faculty of Educational Studies. Started to stand on its own on May 1, 2004. The original entity of this department is the Guidance and Counseling Unit under the Department of Education (1979-2002) and the Department of Human Behavior and Movement (June 2002 - April 2004). This department strives towards excellence in teaching, research, consultancy and development services in the field of guidance and counselling. This department has operated the Bachelor of Guidance and Counseling Education program since 1981 and is the first program offered in Malaysia in this field.
