| Description | Students enrolled in the programme will receive a solid background in actuarial science knowledge, as the programme offers a variety of courses in actuarial studies, mathematics, statistics, computing, economics, finance and others. The programme also offers fundamental syllabus for students to sit for professional exams acknowledged by professional bodies from overseas such as the Society of Actuaries (SOA), Casualty Actuarial Society (CAS) and Institute of Actuaries (IOA). Several courses in the program are approved for credits by Validation of Educational Experience (VEE) from SOA. Several courses in the programme also prepare students for the following SOA actuarial exams: Exam FM (Financial Mathematics), Exam LTAM (Long-term Actuarial Mathematics), Exam P (Probability) and Exam STAM (Short-term Actuarial Mathematics). The programme prepares students’ professional development in the areas of actuarial, insurance, finance, risk management, banking and other quantitative areas. |
