| Entry Requirements | Bachelor of Education Degree in the field of Science with CGPA of 3.00 or equivalent OR Bachelor Degree with CGPA of 3.00 or equivalent AND: Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Minimum of CGPA 3.00) or, Teaching qualification recognised by the university or, Teaching experience in an institution recognised by the Senate or, A professional qualification from recognised professional bodies or, Qualifications that are approved by the Senate from time to time OR Bachelor of Education Degree in the field of Science with CGPA of 2.70 to 2.99 or equivalent AND: Fulfilled at least one (1) of the criteria as below: UM Graduates, or Experience in related field, or Published in related field, or A sponsorship holder, or A government servant; or Passed an interview by RoC, or Passed Special Assessment by RoC. OR Bachelor Degree with CGPA of 2.70 to 2.99 or equivalent AND: Postgraduate Diploma in Education (Minimum of CGPA 3.00) or, Teaching qualification recognised by the university or, Teaching experience in an institution recognised by the Senate or, A professional qualification from recognised professional bodies or, Qualifications that are approved by the Senate from time to time AND Fulfilled at least one (1) of the criteria as below: UM Graduates, or Experience in related field, or Published in related field, or A sponsorship holder, or A government servant; or Passed an interview by RoC, or Passed Special Assessment by RoC. | English Requirement | English Proficiency Requirements Candidates must fulfill any qualification as mentioned above AND obtain one of the following English proficiency examination results: International English Language Testing System (IELTS) (Academic): Obtain a minimum score of band 5.5. Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL): Obtain a minimum score of 550 for paper-based total (PBT). Obtain a score of 213 for the computer-based total (CBT). Obtain a score of 80 for the internet-based total (iBT). Pearson Test of Academic English (PTE Academic): Obtain a minimum score of 42. General Certificate of Education (A-Level) English Language subject: Obtain a minimum Grade C. Cambridge English: First (FCE): Obtain a minimum Grade C. Cambridge English: Advanced (CAE): Obtain a minimum Grade C. Cambridge English: Proficiency (CPE): Obtain a minimum Grade C. Malaysian University English Test (MUET): Obtain a minimum band 4. Additional Notes: For candidates with special needs, in addition to the stated terms, the application may be considered subject to the level of special needs and disabilities, as well as suitability to program requirements. Notwithstanding the conditions stated in the above subregulations, in certain circumstances, the admission of students is subject to the decision of the Senate on the recommendation of the relevant Faculty Admission Selection Committee. |
