| Description | The Master of Economics program began in 1994 and has successfully produced highly competent graduates from various parts of the world. The program provides a broad-based course of study in the applied field of economics, mainly financial economics, international economics, development economics, labour economics, as well as resource and environmental economics. The program emphasizes a balance between theoretical knowledge and practical application that suits various stakeholders including policy makers, academicians, employees in public and private institutions, and those with a keen interest in economics related subjects. Students will acquire relevant skills in conducting economic research by taking courses in research methodology, econometrics, statistical techniques and a masters dissertation. They will also be exposed to current global economic issues and recent economic research tools and studies. |
