| Entry Requirements | A Master's degree from a University or any Higher Education Institution accredited by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and/or has accreditation recognized by an overseas Accreditation Body, or an institution that has accreditation as prescribed by a programme; or other qualifications equivalent to a Master's Degree or have other qualifications with experience recognized by the Senate; Or students who are currently pursuing a research mode master's program on a full-time basis at the University and are certified by the Faculty Graduate Studies Committee to change the status to a doctoral program with the approval of the Dean; Or Bachelor's degree by obtaining excellent results from the University or any institution of higher learning subject to the determination of the Faculty/Institute and recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and/or having accreditation recognized by an overseas Accreditation Body; Or other qualifications recognised by the Senate obtained through Prior Experiential Learning Accreditation (APEL); Or meet the requirements of the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA); Or Candidates WITHOUT qualifications or work experience in the field of Islamic Studies, but interested in undertaking cross-disciplinary studies with the field of Islamic Studies, must sit for an appropriate prerequisite course and meet the minimum requirements set by the Programme; And meet other requirements set by the program (if applicable); And meet the requirements of the Language |
| English Requirement | International students are required to meet the English language competency requirements, namely obtaining a minimum score or band result set according to the equivalency table, namely HEET (5 Low), TOEFL iBT (31-45), IELTS (4.0) or MUET Level 2.0 (Band 2.0). |
