| Description | Nuclear science fields cover the topics on changes and reactions at the nucleus level of the element; the origin and sources of various natural and man-made radiations; the effects on matter, environment and living organisms; safety aspects; law and regulations involving the usage of the nuclear technology for the benefits of mankind. Besides those areas, nuclear security and safeguard were also being part of the areas that can be studied due to global concern around the world. The discipline also integrates the knowledge from past, current and future applications of the nuclear technology in Malaysia and worldwide such as in medical, manufacturing, power generation, food and agriculture, non-destructive tests, environmental research, and consumer products. |

| Entry Requirements | A Master's degree from a University or any higher education institution recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and/or which has accreditation recognized by a foreign Accreditation Body, or an institution which has accreditation as specified by the program; or Other qualifications equivalent to a Master's degree or other qualifications with experience recognized by the Senate; or Students currently enrolled in a Master's program under subregulation 6(a) on a full-time basis at the University and recommended by the Faculty/Institute Graduate Studies Committee to change status to a doctoral program with the approval of the Dean/Director; or A Bachelor's degree with excellent results from a University or any higher education institution subject to the Faculty/Institute's regulations and recognized by the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) and/or which has accreditation recognized by a foreign Accreditation Body; or Other qualifications recognized by the Senate obtained through Accreditation of Prior Experiential Learning (APEL); or Fulfill other requirements specified by the program (if applicable); and Fulfill the Malaysian Qualifications Agency (MQA) requirements. |
| English Requirement | Obtain a TOEFL (550), IELTS (6) or MUET (4) result that meets the minimum score or band requirements specified by the program; or For certain programs, candidates are required to take an English Proficiency Test (EPT) and if they fail to achieve the level specified by the program, the candidate is required to attend and pass the English Proficiency Module (EPM) 1 within a maximum period of two (2) semesters before he is allowed to register for the study program.
