Description | The Biology Programme is committed to being a leading programme in delivering lessons and research in animal and plant biology. The objectives of the programme would be to produce graduates who are: (1) prepared for work or graduate studies through enhanced proficiency and knowledge in biosciences, biodiversity, and bioconservation; (2) skilled, respected, ethical and highly competitive, with the ability to communicate eloquently in both Malay and English languages; (3) able to properly interpret and synthesize biological information through applications in nature and research at graduate levels through a strong understanding of nature, humanity and development; (4) able to develop soft skills, address developmental issues and current changes, through the utilisation and application of knowledge gained through the program. The implementation of this programme is based on ongoing assessments and a variety of teaching methods such as lectures, laboratory practices, fieldwork, seminars, research, dissertation and industrial training. The degree can provide you with the background that you need to advance your studies, enroll in professional programs such as education, medicine and health sciences, work in various career fields such as in education and other public sectors, environmental consultants, conservationists, entrepreneurs, town planners, zoologists, botanists and many more. |
